I am not clay, waiting to be moulded

I have a body, you cannot control it

I have a mind, you should not hijack it

I have a dream, do not destroy it

I am a person; whole, imperfect, unique – as all people are

I am a human, with talents, passions and strengths – as all humans have

I am an individual, with opinions, feelings and thoughts – as do all individuals

I am a child.

Guide me to respect, by respecting me

Guide me to listen, by listening to me

Guide me to kindness, by being kind to me

I am a child.

Guide me to empathy, by empathising with me

Guide me to curiosity, by being curious around me

Guide me to remorse, by apologising to me

I am a child.

Guide me to compromise, by compromising with me

Guide me to gratitude, by being grateful to me

Guide me to love, by loving me …unconditionally
